Fore!
From William Taft, the 27th President, who introduced golf to the White House, through Donald Trump, golf has remained a popular pastime among Presidents. During the Great Depression, Herbert Hoover felt it was inappropriate to be seen on the golf course. George Bush respectfully curtailed his playing while troops were in Afghanistan and Iraq.
From golf-related patents to photographs of Presidents golfing, the National Archives holds many records related to the sport and we are pleased to present a selection of golf related products at the National Archives Store.

Founding Documents
The National Archives is the keeper of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. But we also hold in trust for the public the records of ordinary citizens—for example, military records of the brave men and women who have fought for our country, naturalization records of the immigrants whose dreams have shaped our nation, and even the canceled check from the purchase of Alaska.
As of June 16, 2025, in the holdings of the National Archives there are approximately 13.5 billion pages of textual records; more than 725,000 artifacts; more than 450 million feet of film, or about 85,302 miles (enough to circle the earth almost 3.4 times): 41 million photographs; 40 million aerial images; 10 million maps, charts, architectural and engineering drawings; more than 33 billion electronic records (1 petabyte). All of these materials are preserved because they are important to the workings of Government, have long-term research value, or provide information of value to citizens.
The National Archives Store is pleased to offer you a wide selection of reproductions, gift items and apparel related to all the amazing records being preserved and protected in the holdings of the Archives. Purchases from the National Archives Store generate financial and creative support for National Archives exhibitions, public programs, and educational initiatives, introducing America’s records to people around the U.S. and the world.

Founding Fathers
The Founding Fathers were a group of American leaders who played pivotal roles in the creation of the United States during the late 18th century. They led the colonies in the fight for independence from Great Britain and drafted the country's foundational documents: The Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.
The Founding Fathers collection includes items of and inspired by the group of men who created the nation.

Freedom Plane
A National Archives traveling exhibition bringing nine original Founding-era documents to eight U.S. cities in commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary in 2026.
Inspired by the Bicentennial Freedom Train, the Freedom Plane National Tour will make documents fundamental to America’s founding accessible to Americans across the country.
The documents will travel aboard a Boeing 737 in commemorative “Freedom Plane” livery—an aircraft that is helping bring these historic documents to communities nationwide.
The Freedom Plane National Tour is made possible in part by the National Archives Foundation, through the generous support of The Boeing Company, Comcast Corporation, Microsoft, and P&G. Additional support is provided by FedEx.
