Getting to the National Archives in Washington, D.C.

The National Archives is located in downtown Washington, D.C., at 700 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW. The research entrance is located on Pennsylvania Avenue, and the museum entrance is located on Constitution Avenue.

METRO and METROBUS

Take Metrorail’s Yellow or Green lines to the Archives Navy Memorial station. The Archives/Navy Memorial stop is across Pennsylvania Avenue from the Archives building. You will need to walk around the building and enter on the Constitution Avenue side to visit the museum. Gallery Place Chinatown station (Red Line) and Federal Triangle station (Blue, Orange, Silver Lines) are also within walking distance. Several Metro Bus routes serve the National Archives. PARKING

Parking is not available at the National Archives. Limited street parking is available on 7th Street and Constitution Avenue, as well as throughout the neighborhood. Spaces are metered with a two-hour maximum. Visitors may also take advantage of public parking garages within a few blocks of the building
