Exchange & Return Policy

If you are not completely satisfied with your order, we’ll be happy to offer you a full refund of your purchase price.

  • Return timeframe
      • You have 30 days from the delivery date to return an item.
  • Eligible items
      • All items that are not custom items including framed documents, original artwork, and clearance items are eligible for returns.
  • Ineligible items
      • Custom items including framed documents, original artwork, and clearance items are ineligible for returns. Ineligible items are marked as such in the item description.
  • Return condition
      • Returned items must be in their original, unused condition.
  • Return process
      • To return an item(s), please follow these steps:
      • Place item(s) in a shipping box.
      • Indicate customer name, order number, reason for the return, and whether you are requesting a refund, replacement, or exchange.

      • We are happy to offer a refund, replacement, or exchange.
  • Additional information
  • Original and return shipping fees are the customer's responsibility and are non-refundable. Returns, refunds, and exchanges are typically processed within 48 business hours of receipt.


    Because the National Archives Store is not responsible for returned merchandise that may become lost in transit, please consider tracking and insuring your package.


    Once your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your credit card (or original method of payment). You will receive the credit within a few days, depending on your card issuer's policies.


    If the returned item(s) was a gift, the refund will be credited to the purchaser. We are unable to refund original or return shipping fees in the event of refused delivery.


    In the case that the return is due to merchandise arriving damaged, or as a result of an error made by the National Archives Store, please contact us for authorization and instructions for returning a product at our expense. The item must be packaged for shipment and ready for pick up.
