• This t-shirt is not just for the ones who roam the outdoors. The design is by indigenous artist Francis Horne, Sr., whose work retells an ancestral connection to the land that has been respectfully lived on for thousands of years.

The National Archives holds hundreds of thousands of records related to Native Americans, dating back to as early as 1774. These include photographs, original treaties, records from Indian Schools, census records, and Bureau of Indian Affairs records. Hundreds of treaties between the U.S. and Native American tribal nations are now freely available online through the National Archives Catalog.

The online exhibit “Rights of Native Americans” also features a visual timeline of the history of Native American treaties and activism, highlighting tribal sovereignty and cultural preservation.
