Elected four times and leading the country through times of great adversity, FDR instituted sweeping economic reforms, calling them the “New Deal”. His bobblehead agrees, he was a pretty big deal.

Bobbleheads gained popularity in the United States in the 1960s when Major League Baseball commissioned papier-mâché and ceramic bobbleheads of four baseball players: Roberto Clemente, Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, and Willie Mays. Bobbleheads soon became popular for other sports as well as cartoon characters. Advances in construction techniques and materials, as well as the use of plastic instead of ceramic and other fragile substances, have enabled the mass production of current-day bobbleheads as durable collectible items.
