  • The original design of the Great Seal of the United States as approved by Congress in 1782 is the feature of these circular cuff links. A subtle patriotic nod, they are a wonderful gift for any proud American.

  • Congress approved the original design of the Great Seal of the United States in 1782, after elements from three previous designs were combined to create the final seal. The national bird, the American bald eagle is the focal point, supporting a blue shield displaying 13 red and white chevrons. A bundle of olive branches are grasped in one of the eagle’s talons, and 13 arrows are in the other, symbolizing the power of peace and war. Above the eagle is a constellation of 13 stars, and in its beak, it holds a scroll inscribed with the words “E pluribus Unum,” Latin for “Out of many, one.” The appearance of the Great Seal of the United States is updated every few decades, but it remains largely unchanged.
