  • This stunning celadon glass coaster features an intricate design of Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th President of the United States, expertly hand-screened in bold black ink. The artist has beautifully captured Roosevelt's distinctive features, including a pair of his signature eyeglasses and bushy mustache. It sits flat and secure on rubber feet, ensuring that your drink remains steady and your table remains unscathed.

  • Theodore Roosevelt became the youngest President in the Nation's history at just 42 years old. He superseded President McKinley after his assassination. During his two terms, he brought new excitement and power to the Presidency, as he vigorously led Congress and the American public toward progressive reforms and a strong foreign policy.

In February 1905, during his second term, the National Forest Service was established at his direction. The Forest Service now manages 193 million acres of land, 27 million annual visits to ski areas on national forests, 277,000 heritage sites, and 158,000 miles of trails.

Among Theodore Roosevelt's many other accomplishments were the publishing of more than forty works of nonfiction, the exploration of the South American wilderness, and having his likeness sculpted on Mount Rushmore. However, even with all of these and many other achievements, Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt often stated that participating in the Battle of San Juan Hill, Cuba, during the Spanish-American War was one of his proudest moments. Roosevelt's service with the First U.S. Volunteer Cavalry Regiment, also known as the "Rough Riders," lasted only four months, but he proclaimed "there are no four months of my life to which I look back with more pride and satisfaction."
