  • Dice have been made and used since before recorded history. Where they originated is largely unknown. The oldest known dice were part of a backgammon-like game unearthed from an archaeological site in Iran and believed to be from between 2800-2500 BC. Other excavations of dice suggest a South Asian origin. Through the ages, dice have been found in almost every culture and used to play in equally varied games.
