  • Commemorate President Abraham Lincoln, the former Illinois lawyer and Congressman who ensured the strength of his Republican Party, issued the Emancipation Proclamation, guided the nation through the Civil War, and succeeded in preserving the Union. The bronze Lincoln portrait bust sculpture is a wonderful gift to decorate a home, office, or library. Please be aware that the bust comes on a square base.

  • President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863, during the American Civil War, formally proclaiming the freedom of all slaves held in areas still in revolt. The Proclamation invited black men to join the Union Army and Navy, resulting in the enlistment of approximately 200,000 freed slaves and free black people before the war's end.

    The original hand written Emancipation Proclamation and many other letters, photographs and Lincoln records are preserved, protected and held in trust by the National Archives.

6" bust of Abraham Lincoln

My husband is a very staunch patriot who believes that Abraham Lincoln was the greatest president that ever held the office. He was thrilled with a gift of the bronzed bust of Abraham Lincoln that I purchased for his birthday. It looks great with his display of items that depict early American history. It is a great gift for those who love our great country.

BEAUTIFUL BUST, Really looks like bronze

Along with Abe's bust, the replica Emancipation Proclamation, and the companion hardbound book, I place a Lincoln penny in tribute to a president who had a really rough time in the White House, and an equally rough life. I chose bronze instead of the white busts for all but one of my busts because I think they show the effects that their hardships had on their appearance. Hard to believe he was only 56 when he died. I'm no expert, but Honest Abe's pose here sure looks a lot like him at the Lincoln Memorial. Especially the slight forward tilt of his head. The hair, well, not exactly. He may have combed it for this bust, because it seems for Mr. Lincoln, every day was a bad hair day. Even before the beard. I would like to see a line of presidential busts depicting our presidents before they held office. I suppose an artist would need to create many of them from portraits.
