  • The Constitution of the United States is the supreme law of the United States of America. The Constitution originally consisted of seven Articles. The first three Articles embody the doctrine of the separation of powers, whereby the federal government is divided into three branches: the legislature, consisting of the bicameral Congress; the executive, consisting of the President; and the judiciary, consisting of the Supreme Court and other federal courts.

The original Constitution of the United States is on permanent exhibit in the Rotunda at the National Archives Museum.

History makes the best gifts!

Recently visited the National Archives and stopped in the gift store to purchase something for my mum. I spotted the "We the People" wine tumbler and bought it! She enjoys history so she loves the tumbler. It keeps her wine cool and bugs out with the sealing lid...and it is admired by many when she uses it at gatherings in Michigan. Very durable and attractive. Perfect accessory for Constitution Day or July 4th.

I received excellent customer service when I couldn't find them online, I've since purchased two more tumblers as gifts. I prefer to purchase gifts in historical establishments because part of the profits go to the landmark, archive or home...leaving me feel pretty American!
